Si l’on est à l’intérieur du  véhicule (voiture, calèche,  etc.), il faut utiliser en : en voiture.

Si l’on est sur le véhicule (bicyclette, moto, et même scooter et… trottinette, etc.), il faut utiliser à : à moto.

On dira donc : à trottinette (même si ça sonne mal).
